What is a domain name?
A domain name is the address of a Web site; it corresponds to an IP address which indicates where the Web site hosting resides. Since people find IP addresses difficult to remember, a Domain Name System was developed to enable the labeling and remember Web site addresses. Examples of domain names are "bell.ca" and "canada.ca".

What are sitemaps? How do they work?
The sitemap is a file which is placed in your web site directory; the search engine spider uses this information as a "blueprint" for your web site, crawling the pages listed in the sitemap. Sitemaps are especially useful if you have experienced trouble in the past with spiders being unable to scan portions of your web site.
