- Based on a third-party score (Global Wireless Solutions OneScore) calculated using Bell wireless 5G network testing in Canada against other national wireless networks from April 12, 2023, to October 27, 2023.
- Bell Operator Connect includes support for Dynamic 9-1-1. When a user dials 9-1-1, the user’s address information entered in Microsoft Teams is embedded into the SIPT header and sent to the central answering point. In Canada, the CRTC still treats dynamic 9-1-1 as basic 9-1-1, meaning the agent will still confirm the user’s location verbally before routing the call to the correct PSAP. The address passed through Teams will only be referenced if the caller is unable to speak.
- When you have access to E9-1-1 and dial 9-1-1 (“Emergency Call”), the Emergency Call is handled in the same manner as emergency calls dialled from the traditional wireline phone service i.e., your Emergency Call and your corporation’s address at which the 9-1-1 caller’s work station is located (“Service Address”) are automatically sent to the nearest emergency response centre to dispatch help. Learn more about emergency services availability and limitations.
- Applies to areas where Bell provides network services in Canada and internationally through Bell’s global partner networks.
