Select BlackBerry devices and services going offline January 2022

BlackBerry has announced that effective January 4, 2022, devices running on the following operating systems will go offline:

  • BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier software
  • BlackBerry 10
  • BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and software

This means that any device and services running on one of these operating systems will no longer function. BlackBerry Android devices are not impacted, and will continue services. For more information, please visit BlackBerry’s website.

It is important that you address this issue prior to the decommission date, as voice, text and data services (including 9-1-1) will no longer function for the devices/services listed above after January 4, 2022.
