My TV is showing Error 005: Your SmartCard does not have authorization to view or purchase this program

Error 005: Your smart card does not currently have authorization to view or purchase this program. Please wait or press the channel Up or Down.
If you see this error message on your TV, try the following:

Reset your receiver

On most models, simply hold the POWER button on the front of your receiver for 5 to 8 seconds. Allow the receiver to turn on, search for the satellite signal and download the guide.

During this process, it is normal to see Error 015 and Attention 330 on your TV screen.

If the problem persists, please contact customer care.

Note: Be sure to let the representative know if you have already tried resetting your receiver.
